Seeing Is Believing?
My English Class seems a bit of a sociology class at the moment with all of these articles we’re reading. Ones that really have stuck out to me are 2 Ways Women Can Get Hurt Seeing is Believing and Taking a Bite out of Twilight.
We depend on physical sex to determine gender. Men and women are deliberately separated in every way. “Women” are objectified by social and cultural stand points and “males” are conditioned to do this. Hermaphrodites, The Inter sexed, Gender Fluids and Transgender are hardly considered still human for breaking apart these categories.
WHY THE HELL WHY?
Fifty shades of Grey and Twilight are teaching young girls and young men the wrong types of morals and centering on such objectification. Sorry about busting bubbles of moms and daughters alike and the authors chops. No, wait I am not. For all i can these along with other things can be erased from the earth in accidental fire. It’s not a generation issue I grew up with plenty of this crap nonsense but I’m more willing to gravitate twords the “human vampire” love story of Stephan and Michel of Subspecies easier than Twilight. Still looking at you 50 Shades of Grey with S n M Controlling issues.
As a Gender Fluid “Female” that’s classified as “gay” (though doesn’t fit anywhere in the box categories of Femme or Butch), yes i’m looking through my filter but also at a bigger picture. This is damn disturbing. My Synthesis paper will be filled to page 15 with what i see wrong with this.
