INSIDIOUS IS . . .

            An unconventional ghost story of possession and astero projectery seems almost intreging. What if after you’ve moved into your dream home strange happenings begin that terrorize not only you but your children as well? You’d move again right? Rather you believe in ghosts or not something’s up with that house. The happenings still escalate mainly when dad’s not around and finally one day the eldest doesn’t wake up, having fallen and hit his head and lapsed into an unexplainable coma. Like most people the Lamberts don’t believe in ghosts, entity’s and or black and red beings that hang around a kids bed room and look for logical explanations as to what’s going on. Eventually this leads them to a medium of sorts recommended by Mr. Lamberts mother and well folks the fun is just beginning! It’s not faulty wiring, whispering pipes . . . It’s a haunting and it’s not the house that’s haunted . . . .  It’s their son!

          Mr. and Mrs. Lambert’s relationship seems like a typical married couples at first but when strange things keep happening when Mr. Lamberts away to her and the kids it’s almost like he’s questioning her sanity. It gets worse as she not only hears but sees many apparitions, one in particular a strange man with a depleted face continuously appears in windows and eventually rooms seeing to target their youngest Cali an infant. Yes she could be docked for mother points on the fact she just stayed down stairs a while listening to a weird voice on the baby monitor until suddenly she ran upstairs when shouting started  but let’s cut the mom of three a little slack. Mr. Lambert starts staying late at his school in order to “cop” with what’s going on, adding insult to injury he acts like a typical prick bing confronted with something he can’t understand. This however leads Renai to think he’s cheating on her and leaving her on her own. Both parents’ seem very oblivious to the fact Doltin draws what he saw and where he went when he goes to sleep which is very disturbing but isn’t referenced to until they finaly call Josh’s mom in Lorraine to help. She recommends an “old friend” that happends to be a Paranormal Investigator/ Medium, Elise who tells them A) Everything logical is pretty much ruled out before she got there B) It’s not the house that’s haunted it’s Dolton and by more than one entity.

After looking the house from top to bottom with her two Geek Squad guys Speces, appropriately named for his thick glasses and Tucker a guy that seems to live off hot pockets who’s head hair doesn’t match his beard might I add. Elise finds a fiend in Doltons room hanging off the wall only she can see in the dark. Spec’s sketch is very similar to Doltins drawings and Lorraine’s account of a dream she had with the same fiend in Dolton’s room that spoke to her. The hauntings very quickly taking a turn for the worst as the entity’s Cleary another worldly being with his sights set on possessing Dolton with his soul wondering far from home.

Renai is more willing to accept this than Josh who seems to have other underlining issues with the afterlife and Souls apparently the stubborn mule then observes his sons sketches hanging in his room on his board of art obvious as day and decides to go through with the process of helping their son come back and getting rid of the thing hanging around him. Another shocker comes his way when his mother confesses how she knows Elise and it’s no accident Doltin can “travel” so skillfully Josh is an Astro Projects that lost his memory and ability of it when he became in danger of having a ghost possess him when he was younger. Lorraine asked Elise to help her keep her son safe much like he and Renai were calling on her now. Josh has to remember how to Project willingly in order to go get Dolton in The Further; a realm that seems a lot like purgatory where ghosts congregate and atro projects can unwittingly travel because they think they’re dreaming.

                    Mr. Flames has made a nice spacious house in the Further where he’s spent possibly ions with his own personal guard and tortured ghosts to keep him company you know until he can use someone to cross over into the Living world. Some freaky shiz goes on in the down stairs as Josh passes through after he got past Smiley. In each room is a depiction of a disturbing scene that escalates into a mass murder and disturbingly smiling ghosts to give that nice homely touch. When Josh finds the area Doltons in he finds him chained helplessly which explains why he couldn’t return to his body, the entity had taken him there and locked him there for months. The kids still in his pajamas! Josh elects to tell Dolton none of its real apparently to appease him but we know better! How can they visualize the same thing including the house and chains? Josh and Dolton have to fight their way back while being pursued by the entity now angered and the ghosts pawing at them. Apparently he didn’t cat the death glare aimed at them before they were chased out of the house.Good thing they have an astro lamp to guide their way though right?

          The Ghosts still have a trick or two up their sleeves including Mr. Flames who suddenly seems to have given up once they reached the house however the ghosts are practicly breaking down the door and everything else to get at Dolton and Joshes empty bodies. While the ghosties are screwing with everyone not in a trance or coma, Smiley causes Josh and Dolton to get separated and Mr. Flames pops out of nowhere and makes a delayed attempt to grab at Dolton because it’s fun making your victims think you’ve given up then scaring the crap out of them by popping up underneath the bed and grabbing them by the ankles to be dragged off. Dolton does yet to his body and has the pleasantness of getting a glaring light on him as he wakes up because that’s just the thing to wake up to after being in a coma like state while your other self wounders around hells half acher.

          Josh is having a harder time though his bodys sitting in the living room in a chair he has a unwelcomed audience of on lookers including the old hag that used to haunt him. He makes it back in but he’s acting a bit weird maybe he’s just moody from being out of his skin suddenly when he’s not used to it. He asks Elise to get rid of his photos, an odd request as he seemingly was a bit freaked out by but seemed okay. She snappes a picture sneakily and unless he suddenly cross dresses in black it’s the old hag in the photo in place of Josh hisself. 

Apparently everyones become hard of hearing as the Hag Ghost uses Josh to strangle Elise to death screaming in rage. Is the kid eating that loud I know it’s good to see someone in a coma for three months awake at zero dark thirty and slurping up a humungus plate of spaghetti happily like he hasn’t eaten solid food in months but come on maniac screaming in the other room should alert someone somethings going on.

          Rane’s points get a dock again as she strolls in the living room having not heard the screaming and swearing and is shocked to find a dead Elise looking into space with Josh surprisingly nowhere in sight. She picks up the camera and sees the picture Kudos back for genuinely shocked and horrified reaction as Josh really hadn’t made it back to his body, The Hag Beat him to it. Dolton seems like normal Dolton not possessed by Mr. Flames, Smiley or the like and the Geek Squad Guys Speces and Tucker will probably learn in the sequel that their boss was strangled to death by a Hag Possessing Joshes body. Oh Yes there will be a sequel! You can’t leave an open cliff hanger like that can you?

          Quirks:

·        Mr. Flames seems to be a mix of an orc and Darth Mauls Raceial cusion twice removed

·        There’s lamps waiting for you when you go into the Further if you’re alive and or a good ghost

·        Mr. Flames has his own theam much like the Creeper

·        Little dancing boy ghost in the living room

·        Director  has a wicked sense of humor

·        Director keeps sneaking in his know fears?

·        Ghosts aren’t restricted to mischievousness at night

·        Ghosts and demons go away if you yell at them, particularly “Leave this Vessel”

·        Mr. Flames seems to be bestys with Smiley

·        Mr. Flame’s architecture skills should be incorporated in the world of the living. I mean really he has a two story house with tons of windows and rooms

·        Shutting doors in spirits faces prevents them from coming in

·        Mr. Flame’s naked but gets away with it!

·        Dolton and Raenies matching PJs

·        Mr Smiley Tries giving Renae a “kiss”

·        Meduims apparently have the power to expel memories as well as evil spirites

·        Someone decides to be cute and draw on Joshs chalk board the face of the puppet from SAW

·        The Director served Detention Twice

·        The Further’s the best name Elise can come up with for the in-between World

·        Ghosts can smell people in comas who have their souls wondering

·        Every Medium is different in their approach of channeling ghosts, Elise likes using a weird breathing mask

·        Mr. Flames Wall Crawl

·        If Elise coaxes someone to Astro project she doesn’t need the Mask

·        In the In-between Demons need homes too; huge ass homes two stories with at least five rooms

·        Specs camera picks up only Mr. Fire not the other ghosts

·        You don’t need electricity in the Further

·        When Astro Projects go into comas, it means they’ve wondered too far into Thre Further and are chained up

·        Josh’s Street Fighter Move makes Smiley go Away

·        Mr. Fire’s Hobbies include Sharpening his gold clawes on a rotating filer, listening to old recordings of Tiny Tim, Puppeteering and making puppets

·        Mr. Flames likes shiny mirrors

·        Mr. Flame has fancy silver metal plating on his fingers and claws

·        Mr. Flame can’t make noise in the living world

·        Mr. Flames can detect intrusions of a living ghost in five minutes flat

·        The way Dolton scarfs spaghetti is cute

·        This Movie Managed to get a PG 13 Rating

·        Mr. Flames Death Glare

·        Mr. Flames is attractive in a other worldly, scary kind of sense

·        What’s up with Ghost Lamps sitting around waiting for you to pick them up? Are they restricted to “living Visitors?”

·        Why does Doltones parents not think his crayon drawings that are hanging in plain view not disturbing?

·        Who serves spaghetti at zero dark thirty to a kid coma or no wouldn’t that be heavy after being on fluids for three and a half months?

·        How did Dolton encounter Mr. Flames/ Lippy in the further walk to his house like dad did and knock?

·        Is the rocking horse just for show or kids that cross Mr. Flames path?

·        How Did Josh forget entirely about Astro Projecting? Elises just a human Meduin

·        Should we be worried what Mr. Flames did to Dolton before dad got there really?

·        If it’s not real how are Josh and Dolton imagining the same things? They imagining the chains Doltons in too?

·        How did Mr. Flames detect Josh just when he started fiddeling with the chains Doltons in the house?

·        What the Hells up with that face?! Is he honestly lulling out his tongue?

·        Dude if his eyes seem blueish flame most of the time how the hell are they suddenly cat yellow unless it happens when he’s totally pissed?

·        In the first trance to find Dolton who’s threatening Elsia Smiley or Mr. Flames?

·        Instead of just screwing around with Dolton (and everyone else’s heads) why doesn’t he just grab Dolton and go when Smiley separates them?

·        How can you not hear yelling in a four bed room house coming from the living room? It’s not that big of a house really

·        Why the hell’s Kid Josh hanging out in the Further? He was supposed to not remember how to Astro Pro anymore?

·        Kid Josh knows where Mr. Flames lives and points big Josh in the direction then the punk disappears when they’re trying to get back?!

·        Why is an Old Hag Ghost hanging around kid Josh when he’s clearly awake in all of the old photos his mom hid?

·        Why didn’t Lorraine mention that Josh is an Astro Pro and he passed it to his son and this is why there’s weird crap going on instead of waiting until he lapses into a coma?

·        If there's red hand prints all over Daltons sheets; where did he get the red from? Is it blood? Why make hand prints all over his sheets in the first place but not his pajamas? He marking Dalton as his?

·        Who are the four other ghosts in Mr. Flames house? Is he connected to the mass murder the forth girl did? Why are they hanging around down stairs?

·        Is Mr. Flame and Smiley really co Conspirators? He messes with Renai and the baby like hell even comes onto her during Elises contact session and repeatedly interrupts Josh finding Dalton.

·        What did Mr. Flames do to Dalton all that time? Ignore him? He couldn't have maybe he intertained him with the puppets or something

·        WHAT IS UP WITH THOSE FREAAKY PUPPETS?! Does He make and play with them? It's just weird! The Mask doesn’t help much

·        Specs dude what kind of camera are you using?! Did you miss the other like twenty ghosts in the room along with Mr. Flames?

·        Does Mr. Flames only like oldie record songs?
