Dark Floors: Dark Decent

One local hospital with dark hidden secrets and a sick little girl having her own is the only hope for five strangers trapped within it’s walls when the lights go out and monsters come to play. Produced by the metal band Lordi you can’t stop thinking What if and What is really real?

            Ben takes Sara into a hospital for testing on her worsening condition, she’s pale and thin and has dark circles around her eyes. While she’s inside it she repeats fraises that doesn’t make sense and suddenly the M R I malfunctions with her in it. Ben takes Sara out of it and makes a plan to take her out of the hospital late at night ignoring their sugestions he take her to an institution instead. He meets another visitor with three teddys as Emily the nurse catches him leaving because it’s hard not to hear Sara shouting “I want the red Crayon”. She tries coaxing him to stay worried how taking her now would effect sara as the guard takes a homless man into the elevador everyone knows as Tobias who also seems sick. Emily gets on intime for them to try leaving the floor, key word is try the elevador sticks between floor Six and Floor Seven and the lighters flicker possibly due to the lightning storm outside. Tobi collapses until he’s revived by Emily, not caused by the storm.

            The Fourth and Fifth Floor:  Air & Metal

            The Six strangers make it to the fifth floor with one one around in sight the place is still light but something is wrong.  An old lady without her eyes is the first discovery of something amiss as they descend the floor something is fallowing them in the shadows Ben catches a glimpse of in the mirrors before a strange whaling ghost appears Tobias and Sara both cover their ears and they’re chased to the fourth floor where they’re persisted until Jon accidently turns on a x-ray machine. They continue by stairs for the exit Rick is injured by a stray bullet from no where and Jon drops the teddy’s he was carrying down the stairwell down from shock.

John decides to separate from the group believing his chances are better and useses an elevador and gets a nasty surprise for his aragonce when a large red toothed monster bashes its way through the floor and tries a piece of him. Rick and John have to end up saving his sorry ass before the elevator falls to the bottom of the shaft. Johns estimate of a mass phycosis brought on by gass from repaires on the hospital seems to be bleeding on the floor as a hallucination couldn’t chew to your femer.

            The Third Floor: Earth

            They reach an infirmary with a problem, the door has been walled up. Sara is becoming worse running a fever by this time. John's patients are wearing thin between Sara’s repeating and Tobias's rantings and the ridiculous notion monsters are chasing them. Tobias tells Ben he has some unknown decision to make about the situation which is “falling apart”. Emily tries staying optimistic but its clear neither she nore Rick has experienced something like this until now. Rick the only know security they have feels he has to keep everyone safe from what ever is going after them but it’s very much out of his hands. They try the radios hoping at least someone would be around to pick up but there's static and disoriented voices. A rude awakening comes when a shadow outside the door of a supply room appears and it’s not the ghost, which usually don’t plow through walls like a three ton ox, it’s not the red toothed monster but another just as imposing one trying to get to Sara and Ben Tobi intentionally stays behind as they run from it  fruitlessly trying to postpone the advances with doors and chairs it just plows through like paper and not steel and cement.

            Rick keeps to his guns and dutiy side tracking the thing so they could escape down the second floor leaving just the three to fend for themselves. Tobais possibly dead along with Rick. Emily John and Sara continue twords the ER where Sara's needed medication is and hopefully beyond that an exit. John makes a point in Tobias's rantings he had ignored before what if Sara knows something they don’t? The voices on the recordings demanded they give up the girl; the monsters and ghost all seemed to dead head for Sara and removed anyone in their way and the only one that’s keeping Sara from them is Ben. Clearly John doesn’t understand no loving parent in their right mind would hand their eleven year old girl over to evil things just to save his own skin.

            Second Floor: Sand

            Emily and Ben leave Sara with John to take down the wall with the E R on the other side with medicines. Sara continues drawing in her chair muttering seemingly unaware of whats going on. John makes a bit of small talk with her but it earns a glare as the guys a total prick and she doesn’t trust his suddenly soft deminor twords her. He  is up to something.

            Emily and Ben mean while break through the wall and are startled when they see moving shadows above.  Ben shoots at what he thinks is monsters and three teddy s that John had dropped earlier descends on them. Ben figures out it was some how him that shot Rick in the head grazing him barley earlier. Ben descends back into the lighted side of the hospital but no one sees or hears him as if he’s a ghost. Emily's still in the dark hospital and can’t find Ben until he leaves the light visitor room. The walkies they picked up seem to work scratchily on the different frequencies when they return to Sara and John Tobias ‘s voice is heard along with the noises of a struggle John is trying to give Sara to the creatures in return for safe passing. Tobias came out of no where to stop him looking as though he’s deteriorating piece by piece. He isn’t strong enough to stop him for long. After taking a good look at him John is appalled to realize Tobias is the walking dead but isn’t a match for him like the other monsters. John wheels Sara away into the middle of the hallway again Sara looks at him with dark eyes when a sand storm kicks up from no where and another monster appears mummy like right behind her but he struts right past Sara instead of taking her and attacks John going for the heart litterly.

 First Floor: Creeping Darkness

Ben and Emily grab Sara to run again damning it all and use the elevador as the ox fiend is in the hallway again from seemingly no where and Sara stares right at him as he charges like a bull at a flag. The remaining three go down to the first floor but something else is waiting along the halls for them yet and in the morgue as the dead patrons and doctors and like rises and shuffles after them yet again sidetracking them from getting the medicine for Sara. Emily is tragically locked in the morgue and can’t get out being injured from the banshee appearing again and injuring  her leg. Ben carries Sara on alone now just intent to leave the hospital and the things behind. The mummy finds them again Ben fights with little more than chairs Tobias appears one last time to help worse than before he impales the thing with an iv pole buying Ben time Ben is shocked to see Tobias like this. The mummy turns and impales him  as well leaving them on the floor in the same position as a pair of cadavers were they had encountered earlier. It’s safe to say now Tobais won't be around to help Ben anymore sadly. Ben finds an exit out the ambulance parking lot and high jacks a ambulance that just might start. Sara cries out as creeping black starts engulfing the entrance and lot, there's one last monster to go and he’s making a hell of an appearance.

Ben basically speeds in circles and can’t seem to get away from the blackness. He’s cut off by the form coming forth of a humanoid with glaring red eyes and fangs that could possibly be the boss of the others. Ben continues to try escaping he pleads with Sara now desperate and not sure what to think now asking if she could do something. They become cornered unable to leave as the exit no longer exists Ben takes Sara and puts her in the only safe place he could think of and Faces the monster alone in the run down ambulance believing someone will find Sara and take her to safety. As Ben speeds to his doom only thinking of protecting Sara she suddenly appears standing in front of him enveloped in white light. She’s not willing for him to go out like this. The creeping mist envelopes Ben without touching Sara yet she doesn’t reach out for him she repeats everything he’s said to her through this ordeal before he disappears in blackness. Sara is now alone facing the demonic boss looming twords her from the darkness. He speaks in growls only she can understand. As the boss comes twords her arms out in an interpretive way as if to wrap when it malfunctions. There’s no noise just quiet notes as again she’s pulled from the machine by her father in one piece and he takes her out of the room sitting her in her wheel chair shes given a blue crayon now Tobias walks up to her and whispers in a tone only she can hear “I don’t feel cold anymore, Sara” the crayon drops and breaks. Ben councils her not knowing what Tobias told her.

We are right back where we started, where they all started in the light of the living world.

Was it all a bad dream?

Sara seems to be doom to repeat the process over and over until something changes to alter the out come. Tobi is the only other one that knows what’s going on but he’s dubbed an insane homeless man who just mutters and rants and is cuddly with Sara.

I give the movie four ravens out of the possible five they could have pulled off with. Their costumes were especially tailored for the movie which was cool. The dialog was a bit bland and could use better work but still felt like a human level along with the characters. John and Sara are the most sympathetic. The sound track its self could have used more intensity and I don't know MORE LORDI SONGS because it is produced by Mr. Lordi for Lordy sake.

Ox replaced him in 2006 before the movie production in 2008. He would have definitely fit on base floor and or Second floor. A nice balance along side Ahmen to balance out  the Brut of Ox and Kita. Question is what creature would he be if we already have a mummy, a banchee, a hell monituar and a arch fiend? My thought would be a specter / ghoul kinda. His band lore suggests he's the Son of Death himself. It would be fitting he'd be controlling the zombies as well. He'd be able to cause serious damage, not be as susceptible to light and he would be tracking down Tobias on top of things. 

So here's an idea:

5th, 4th, 2nd & 1st floor

Mist  Revere Fiend:

Abilities: creating thick myasmic mist, drifting through solid objects, blending into darkness and reappearing; damaging hooked ghost chains with dual use of tearing flesh and separating soul; 

Signature: revved flesh from chains, cold burns on victims

Indicator: thick rolling mist

Resemblance: maned humanoid with ghoulish   features and clad 

Next question I suppose is where he'd fit. He could have been between the wreaths appearance, Amen's and where Ben and Emily split up. He would stalk her on the nega universe hospital. He would build up to his appearance . It would be fun if he decided to appear before John tries saving his own skin.
