A Bedtime Story

In an ordinary apartment complex until hidden world is revealed by the finding of a strange young girl named Story who seems to not live there neither have a family. The quiet tenant Cleveland is drawn to her influence and soon has to confront the fact some childhood bed time stories are true like a prayer. Everyone doesn't know who they truly are and the specialness about them. Man has forgotten about a world they left long ago in their quest to wonder and own. They have forgotten about The Blue World and those who live in it. Story begins awakening each resident of the Cove have their own stories, their own hopes their own dreams and demons. Slowly story begins awakening not only her destined Vessel, a timid writer that has been writing a highly controversial book but also everyone around including the oldest of the residents Mr. Leeds who’s child self he felt lost.  Story has been in their pool for a very long time but the world around them is unsafe out of the water. A dangerous creature of the Earth blocks her path of returning home now her task is complete. The only way to help Story is by listening to the bedtime story of Su-Yung’s mother. Cleveland races against time to gather a band of Human Helpers to Shield her from harm and return her back home. Human assumption yields dire consequences as the advice from a Local Film critique putts everyone in peril. With an unseen adversary hiding in the grass and time running out where are the Law keepers of this other World so feared? If there are Laws protecting Story’s kind why are they being broken? The Residences of The Cove have mostly kept to themselves and scarcely interact with others. They come together possibly truly for the first time seeing how interconnected they are with one another.

Once found Story influences and gives actual pearls of wisdom that comes natural to her which are all truths. She’s young but has such vast knowledge especially of the future. She’s the exotic and forgotten friend of the humans. Still she’s humble and unbelieving she’s something even more special than what she and everyone else thinks.

Cleveland is an ordinary jaded tenant that comes out of his shell realizing he still has the power of healing but in a different form. He was once a doctor that lost everything and humanly retracted into himself from that pain. His connection to Story is at first uncertain but becomes sincere and warming. A Healer can also be protective as they care deeply about others. Because of his protectiveness it’s thought he is Story’s Guardian. He tries hard in protecting her and connecting to her in a human level of caring anyone with a kind heart can. He isn't the brave type but that’s what’s charming about him.

Mr. Leeds is the unlikely voice of reason as all of his life he’s had to be brave and try and is now hiding in his own self in the complex. Mr. Leeds is the longest residing and most observant of the residences. Seeing Story first hand also awakens the hope he thought he lost. He tells Cleveland to not be afraid to try for something of greater good he can do. A possible veteran of the wars he seems to have traces of PTSD and often is seen watching War reruns on television. His very apartment is also reflective of himself. Cleveland and many of the other residents highly respect his opinion.

Mrs. Bell is the oldest and wisest of the female residences. She sees Story as a beautiful and pure animal more than anything else. She easily detects her different nature of being. She has a sense of aged authority that commands quitter than Mr. Leeds.

Reggie is a peculiar fellow but likable with a bit of an essence of a meat head. He likes conversing in the stairwell a little too much and experimenting on his own body. It is slightly surprising he is in fact the human Guardian meant to help Story. He’s never met her until the night of her leaving. He’s bit of a dork but helpful none the less.

Mr. Vic is an average Joe writer trying to get over writers block the seemed to have spanned years. He and his sister live together and are of a typical sibling duo. Lea relates to Story in a sisterly way is able to get her to divulge special information by trust. She encourages and teases her brother. It is Vic’s book that is the key to a revolution though he won’t be around to see it in the future when it’s published as all controversial materials spark a war for ideas. He wishes to keep his death a secret from his sister as she would only worry for him.

A beautiful blending of a forgotten world of Legend and Elements mixing with our own World. Mixing organic and visual effects this bed time story of the Narf is appreciated by those still believing in bed time stories. Mankind is still connected to the Blue World in ways we don’t know. We've forgotten our Origins of being so close to the Water and Earth and those who helped us, yet mankind has forgotten how to listen. The power of being still and truly listening is something we still yet have. There are always Laws and morals to bed time stories as there are laws and morals in the worlds they center on. As there are hat we can bring into ours. The most ordinary of people are infect extraordinary. We are all connected, we all have a purpose. Through the power of connection and the human heart and spirit change can come about in spectacular ways. Although the journey is painful and questioning  of just one significance there is inspiration in a single act.
